ANOREXIA NERVOSA

Anorexia nervosa is one of the most commonly known as serious eating disorder because it can harm your health and also can cause trouble in your life. Anorexia can affect both boys and girls within their normal weight and ranges to who think they are overweight. It is a mental illness. They are many symptoms of an anorexic person and the early stages are a little bit difficult to be notice. An anorexic person should realize the symptoms that cause anorexia, which is they know what to do to overcome this problem. To be diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, a person does not have feelings of self-confidence such as their interaction or communication between other people and resentment to eat. They are also willing to starve themselves by not taking food.  Not only that, the anorexic’s body will start to become worse example like too skinny and he or she will start to remove themselves from social interaction. The worst thing, the communication between his or her family will also be spoilt or damaged. In the case of Maria, we can see that there were so many symptoms of anorexia nervosa while she was in a secondary school. She was too concerned about calories in food, the food division, and she weighed at least twice a day. This shows that it is too dangerous about her eating disorder. So, there should be many ways to solve anorexia among people. There are three solutions in treating anorexia nervosa which are seeking professional help, changing your lifestyle and doing therapist.

The first solution to solve anorexia nervosa is by seeking professional help. This can be done by a medical treatment by a doctor or specialist. For example, doctor or specialist can give some treatment to a person who is suffered from anorexia nervosa. Doctor can show you how to get out from this mental illness. People who have anorexia nervosa may also need to be hospitalized until they reach a loss critical weight, but outpatient treatment is an option when you’re not in immediate medical danger. So, when you were are already reach your loss critical weight you may go out from the hospital. Doctor will also recommend medicine vitamin that can help anorexia nervosa to gain their weight back. This medicine or vitamin can improve their health to gain more weight than before. Secondly, people with anorexia nervosa should see a nutritionist. A nutritionist or dietician will help you about healthy you’re eating and proper nutrition. Furthermore, the nutritionist will also help you to develop and follow meal plans that include more calories to reach and maintain a normal healthy weight. Then, the nutritionist will design diet and nutrition chart for the patient and even educate them about healthy eating habits. However, there is also another solution, which is by doing counseling and motivating them by a counselor or motivator. Counseling for anorexia will teach you how to deal with difficult relationship problem and stress in a product, rather than a self-destructive way. Therefore, one of the diet goals of counseling an anorexia sufferer will alter the patient’s unhealthy desire to be thin. Issues that would typically be addressed in a counseling session include eating behavior, self-confidence and identifying the triggers that led to the condition. Obviously, a counselor or motivator will help you to identify the negative thoughts and feelings that fuel your eating disorder and replace them with healthier, less distorted beliefs.

Another solution is the anorexic person should try to change their lifestyle. To complete these changes, anorexic person can enjoy some mild exercise every day. For this case, anorexic patients are not allow to have exercise in early part of their stay partly to process weight gain because it may harm them while their body are at a low weight. Furthermore, do some walks to make a normal pattern that will be started later in a treatment that will be accompanied by a nurse or your friend. Here are some activities those can help anorexic person such as weight lifting, walking, and stationary cycling. These activities perhaps can be easily structured to start with lighter workloads and slowly progress to higher ones. In addition, anorexic person can change their eating habits such as consume more calories to increase the patient’s weight by closely monitoring the patient’s fluid and food intake. This means that, their weight are being watched everyday and the caloric intake will gradually increase. Moreover, you must identify and avoid allergic food such as refined sugar, white flour, heavy starches, and fruit juice or caffeinated beverages, as they disrupt normal body chemistry. Otherwise, anorexic person should avoid from eating away from home to escape from some risks. Then the best anorexic diet plan will include foods that contain all the major macro nutrients and the essential micro nutrients as well. Macro nutrients are nutrients that the body uses in large amounts like protein, carbohydrate, and fats, whereas micro nutrients are nutrients that the body requires in small amounts such as vitamins and minerals.
Besides that, try to make friends from all kinds of backgrounds. Another thing, anorexic person can talk to someone about what they have been through about. Therefore, if they want to talk to someone, they have to find a good listener which means someone who will support you as you try to get better. Other than that, they have to get rid from their friends who constantly diet and talk about losing weight, and stay away from weight loss websites so that they can enjoy their days cheerfully without any interruptions.

Another solution is by doing a therapist. There are many types of therapist; three of them are individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy. This statement about solving of anorexia nervosa is stated by Guy Slowik on June 21st 2011. Individual psychotherapy means a therapy which deals with a mental of an individual. The cognitive behavioral approaches can help to develop healthy ways about thinking and patterns of behavior, particularly with food and relationships. It also emphasizes important interpersonal relationships and psychological issues, such as self-esteem. This type of therapy provide a safe place to learn how to identify concerns, solve problems, overcome fears, and test new skills. Next is group therapy, it means that a therapy which is made in group. Groups can assist in dealing with other emotional symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, and anger. Sharing experiences with others in a group can be very effective in helping reduce guilt, shame, and isolation, and can lead to the important insights regarding strategies for recovery. Group therapy can also understand the psychological factors that may have led to the development and maintenance of the disorder. Other than that is family therapy, it means that, a therapy that involved relationship between anorexic person and their family. Parents and other family members often have intense feelings of guilt and anxiety that they need to address. In addition, family therapy can help and understand the seriousness of anorexia nervosa and the ways in which family patterns may contribute to it. It can also help members overcome guilt, improve communication and decision-making skills, develop    practical strategies for overcoming the disorder.

In conclusion, everyone should play their role to solve anorexia nervosa among people so that anorexic person can stop starving themselves and will find effective ways to treat this problem. Actually, there are many solutions in treating anorexia nervosa, three of them are by seeking professional help, changing your lifestyle, and seeing a therapist. All these solutions really can help the anorexic person. Anorexic person must also have physical and mental strength to make a lot of changes to themselves towards a better living. To achieve a better health level, anorexic person should be more disciplined and they need to sacrifice in many aspects especially about nutrition. Therefore, society should be concerned about what is happening around them such as this problem that what we called it as ‘anorexia nervosa’.
